Fit & Quality Partner

As a Fit & Quality Partner at the company, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that fits and quality standards are maintained in alignment with BIG W fit standards. You will collaborate with Design, Category, Quality, and Compliance teams to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality products through the supply chain. Your key accountabilities will include partnering with Fit & Quality Partner Aus, Designers, Sourcing Team, and suppliers/factories to guarantee the safety, compliance, and quality of our own brand products. You will utilize your garment construction experience, including pattern making and grading, to simplify product fit and evaluate samples against tech packs in collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, you will provide insights on garment construction adjustments, resolve style and fit issues, and review samples at different stages of production. In this role, you will apply critical thinking to develop risk-based product requirements, engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of safety and compliance requirements, and maintain consistency in size standards, construction, and fit of samples/production as per BIG W requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring that products meet compliance standards, are fully documented in the product database, and continuously drive improvements based on customer feedback. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, grading, and the fit process. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric mindset are essential. You should be proactive in continuous improvement, adaptable to working across different departments within BIG W, and committed to ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for this role include continuous improvement in the VOC Quality score for clothing, zero avoidable withdrawals/recalls due to safety or quality faults, and positive stakeholder feedback on partnering relationships.
