Sustainability Delivery Partner is responsible to ensure we deliver sustainable products and packaging for all own brand products in the Big W business. The partner must collaborate across the business with our commercial and development team and our suppliers to support the delivery of our sustainability plan and targets. This role supports the delivery of the BIG W’s real care initiative and Better Together for a Better Tomorrow initiatives. THE ROLE To partner with our sourcing and commercial teams to deliver own brand products with key sustainable attributes aligned to our sustainability plan . To partner across the business to implement the Woolworths Group Cotton Policy within the BIG W business, including reporting requirements aligned to the plan. This includes the implementation of policy and procedures which deliver sustainability requirements across our product ranges for both hardgoods and softgoods. The implementation of the plan for the key sustainable materials to ensure the delivery of sustainable products in our own brand range To facilitate the implementation of the sustainable materials across the entire BIG W ecosystem from sourcing to customer including transit and product packaging. Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to support their understanding of BIG W’s sustainability requirements and the key framework for delivery To work with the Woolworths Group team to provide visibility of the BIG W sustainability roadmap for sustainable materials and the ongoing reporting and governance to ensure delivery to timeline. ABOUT ROLE The Fit & Quality Partner are to ensure fits and quality standards are maintained and are aligned to the BIG W fit standards. This role requires collaboration with Design, Category, Quality and Compliance teams to deliver product safety , quality and compliance on the technical design elements to deliver great fit and quality garments through the supply chain. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES This role will partner with our Fit & Quality Partner Aus, Designers, Sourcing Team and suppliers/factories to ensure our own brand products are safe , compliant and great quality for our customers. Garment construction experience including pattern making and understanding of grading to drive product fit simplification, Fit and evaluate all samples against tech pack with Stakeholders. Provide suggestions of the best way to construct or adjust garment and resolve any potential style and fit issues. Review Bronze, Silver and Gold Seal samples along with required QA documentation To apply critical thinking and informed decision making to develop risk-based and customer centric product requirements in briefs, desktop review forms and test metrics Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to support their understanding of product safety , quality and compliance requirements, and how they help us to launch safe and value products for our business units. Ensure size standards, construction and fit of samples/production are consistent with BIGW requirements Exercising discipline and governance to ensure that the products launched in our stores meet our requirements by consistently applying the NPD process for Own Brand products . Ensure each product is entered fully into the product database PLMS and is updated with all new information as it comes to hand. Driving continuous improvement by reviewing customer complaints to identify emerging safety and quality trends and proactively advising on the necessary changes to prevent or reduce them. Specialise in a department, but be flexible to work across the BIG W business. To ensure all factories which produce our own brand products meet the compliance requirements for Woolworths Supplier Excellence and Responsible Sourcing Policy. Investigate product incidents (returns, complaints or feedback) using risk based thinking to determine whether withdrawals or recalls are necessary to ensure the safety of our customers and team. WHO YOU ARE Sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, garment grading and a full understanding of the fit process.
