About the Role – Firmware Architect

We are looking for an experienced Firmware Architect to lead firmware design and development for motor controllers, battery management systems (BMS), and vehicle control systems.

This role blends deep technical expertise with architectural leadership — you’ll guide a team, set the technical vision, and ensure firmware quality and safety across multiple EV programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and lead firmware development for motor controllers, BMS, and related ECUs.
• Define and review firmware interfaces between auto-coded and manual code.
• Ensure compliance with MISRA C, ISO 26262, and SPICE safety standards.
• Collaborate with Control Systems, Hardware, and Software teams to implement control algorithms.
• Conduct detailed code reviews and enforce robust testing and CI/CD processes.
• Lead hiring, mentoring, and capability development within the firmware team.
• Drive on-time delivery of production-grade, safety-compliant firmware.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in automotive firmware or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++, RTOS, and ARM / TI C2000 microcontrollers.
• Strong exposure to motor control, BMS, and automotive ECUs.
• Hands-on with communication protocols (CAN, UDS, LIN) and functional safety (ISO 26262, MISRA C).
• Experience with unit testing, TDD, Polyspace, BugFinder, CodeProver, Git/SVN.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex firmware systems.

Good to Have

• Experience with Autosar, Model-Based Design (MATLAB/Simulink), SPICE methodologies, or embedded cybersecurity.
