Your key responsibilities
As Assistant Manager in Financial Restructuring team, you will
Work in a professional environment alongside a vibrant and exciting team of experienced professionals on a variety of projects across a wide range of sectors. Contribute as a vital member of the team in executing turnaround and restructuring advisory projects. Youll be focused on understanding the clients business, profit drivers and trends, help clients mitigate risks and improve deal structures. Assist in business development activities including preparing presentations for client and internal pursuit meetings Create work products documenting the engagement procedures performed against objectives Project Management be part of project teams comprising colleagues from across the EY Parthenon sub service lines Building Relationships - Strong working relationships with clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support achievement of career goals, through a blend of structured learning, coaching and experiences.
Skills and attributes for success Excellent academic background, including a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting Professional qualification such as CA / CFA or MBA (preferably from a premier institute) 5-6 years relevant working experience in corporate or investment banking, funding advisory, fundraising, capital structure optimization and/or restructuring, ideally in a Big 4 professional services firm or international consulting firm Excellent command of spoken and written English Excellent knowledge in MS Office packages, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint Strong numerical / analytical ability, with corporate finance and financial accounting knowledge and experience Prior Experience in report writing (across capital structure review, financial analysis (including historical and forecast reviews), capital structure review, value creation such as cost optimization etc., restructuring options analysis, working capital analysis etc. Experience with conducting desktop market research, gathering data, deriving meaningful conclusions Experience with performing benchmarking reviews (across various parameters for capital and debt mix, working capital levers, revenue / product analysis etc.) Strong finance and accounting skills with knowledge of capital markets. Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work under tight deadlines Excellent project management, attention to detail, communication, problem solving, interpersonal and teaming skills Willingness to learn, proactivity and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas, while working in a multicultural corporate environment
Ideally, youll also have Knowledge of banking products, including Islamic Finance Client facing experience from a professional services background Knowledge of the MENA region and funding environment Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) could be a bonus
