Financial Controller

You will be joining a leading manufacturer in the UPS manufacturing industry, recognized for its innovation, quality standards, and operational excellence. With a notable presence in the Australian market and an expanding global footprint, we are currently looking for a Financial Controller who possesses a blend of commercial acumen and technical proficiency to spearhead our finance function and contribute to our strategic growth initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing all financial operations such as budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will play a crucial role in managing month-end and year-end closing processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness, as well as taking charge of cash flow, working capital, and cost control strategies. Collaborating closely with senior management, you will provide valuable financial insights and strategic recommendations, while also maintaining statutory compliance and managing external audit relationships. Implementing and upholding robust internal controls and financial systems will be integral to your role, along with leading and mentoring a small finance team to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. To excel in this role, you should hold a CPA or CA qualification along with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior finance position, ideally within the manufacturing or industrial sectors, is required. Your expertise should encompass areas such as cost accounting, inventory management, and proficiency in ERP systems. Strong leadership abilities, coupled with the capacity to influence cross-functional teams, will be essential for success in this role.
