Role Overview

We are looking for a Finance Manager who can set strategies, implement them, as well as handle the everyday financial requirements of a fast-growing organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with the executive team to determine more effective ways to handle corporate finance, tax issues and growth financing. If you have a strong background in corporate financial management and a strong desire to become a part of a dynamic team, you may be the perfect person to fill this position.

Responsibilities

• Handle bookkeeping, MIS, income statements, and unaudited financial statements.
• Oversee payroll and calculate taxes for employees on the payroll, including ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining payroll records, and handling payroll queries.
• Handle transactional work.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare and present financial reports.
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure timely preparation of audited financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant provisions of the Companies Act, Contract Act, FEMA, and others.
• Lead taxation (direct and indirect), while keeping an eye on evolving laws.
• Implement and manage strict internal controls across domains.
• Utilise ERP for Finance.
• Stakeholder management
• Manage and personally perform data entry, bookkeeping in GL fixed assets, and be responsible for closing books, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
• Set up robust systems and improve existing systems as needed.
• Coordinate with banks and vendors; work with secretarial, legal, and HR functions.
• Vet and open various contracts from a financial perspective.
• Understand and reply to notices from government bodies.
• Oversee Supply Chain Function-Imports, Logistics, and Procurement.
• Evaluate tools and technology for automating functions across key areas.
• Communicate effectively (written and verbal), demonstrate passion for ownership, and maintain a collaborative attitude.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a reporting / Finance Manager role
• Qualified CA with reputed university
• Experience in handling teams
• Setup internal systems and processes and a high-quality lean finance team and Supply Chain Team
• Experience in bookkeeping, MIS, income statements, and unaudited financial statements
• Must be well versed in statutory filings, in-depth knowledge of accounting regulations and standards
• Big 4 experience in the first few years will be preferred
