Job Description

About the Role

The Manager Finance will contribute to the financial management of the organization by supporting the Finance Manager in overseeing accounting functions, preparing financial reports, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices within the Indian regulatory framework.

Core Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting-
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct variance analysis and report on financial performance against budget and forecasts.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting-
Support the Finance Manager in the budgeting process, including data gathering, analysis, and preparation of draft budgets.
Monitor budget performance and report discrepancies.
3. Accounting Operations-
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and payroll processing.
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
4. Compliance and Auditing-
Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards and tax regulations (e. g. , GST, TDS).
Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
5. Financial Analysis-
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
6. Team Collaboration-
Collaborate with cross- functional teams to provide financial insight and support business decision making.
Mentor and support junior finance staff with accounting tasks and professional development.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in finance, MBA OR E UIVALENT, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
9+ years of relevant managerial experience in finance or accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books) and Proficiency in MS Excel.
Thorough understanding of Indian tax laws and compliance requirements.
Fluent English and good communication skills verbal and written.
Professional certification (MBA, CA, Any finance master program) would be an advantage.
