Job Description

Perform fiber network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for FTTH/FTTB connections. Conduct OTDR, Power Meter, and Splicing tests to ensure fiber quality and signal strength. Handle fiber splicing, jointing, patching, and termination at junction boxes, ODF, and customer premises. Manage last-mile connectivity, field visits, and customer site surveys. Identify and rectify fiber cuts, signal issues, and network outages. Coordinate with NOC, field teams, and vendors for timely fault resolution. Ensure proper documentation of fiber routes, splicing details, and network records. Perform pole-to-pole fiber laying supervision and ensure safety compliance. Manage fiber rollout for new installations as per company standards. Provide technical support for broadband installation and customer complaints. Maintain splicing machine, OTDR, and other fiber tools in good working condition. Hands-on experience in FTTH, FTTX, OSP fiber networks, and broadband technologies. Proficiency in OTDR, Power Meter, Splicing Machine operations. Strong knowledge of fiber cable types, connectors splitters, patch cords. Ability to read and understand fiber network diagrams and route maps. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Two-wheeler with a valid driving license (preferred for field engineers).
