FG WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Job Title: Finished Goods (FG) Warehouse In-Charge & Transportation Coordinator

Department: Supply Chain / Logistics & Warehouse Management

Job Purpose

To oversee and manage the finished goods warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, dispatch, transportation, and inventory management of confectionery products while maintaining hygiene standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities (R&R)

1 Warehouse Operations Management

Oversee daily FG warehouse activities, including storage, handling, and dispatch

Ensure FIFO practices for confectionery shelf-life management

Maintain hygiene, 5S, and food-safety standards inside warehouse

Ensure correct stacking, palletization & handling to prevent product damage

Monitor temperature-controlled storage where applicable

2 Inventory Control

Responsible for accurate inventory records in WMS/ERP

Conduct daily cycle counts & monthly stock reconciliation

Monitor aging stock and manage near-expiry goods clearance

Maintain stock accuracy between physical & system inventory

3 Dispatch & Order Fulfillment

Plan and oversee order preparation & timely dispatch

Check product picking accuracy, packaging & labeling

Coordinate with sales & production for dispatch schedules

Ensure proper loading and sealing of trucks to avoid product contamination or melting

4 Transportation & Logistics

Plan and schedule vehicle requirements for outbound shipments

Coordinate with transporters & ensure timely vehicle placement

Monitor vehicle cleanliness, temperature needs & compliance

Track vehicle movement & ensure timely delivery to depots/distributors

Manage freight cost optimization and transporter performance

Discuss and negotiate with transporters before placing vehicle on minimal rates and follow procedure

5 Documentation & Compliance

Maintain gate pass, dispatch notes, e-way bills & invoices

Ensure compliance with food-safety, FSSAI & audit requirements

Maintain documentation for ISO, BRC, and internal audits

Cordinate and collect POD (Proof of Delivery) is from transporter on receipt of material and submit.

Collect contacts of various transporters and maintain document.

Negotiate rates for vehicles by comparison.

Check and note down stock returns and submit data to accounts dept.

6 Team Leadership

Supervise warehouse staff, loaders.

Train team on SOP, hygiene, safety & handling methods

Ensure work discipline & work planning

7 Safety & Quality

Ensure safe working environment & adherence to PPE

Implement pest-control & hygiene protocols

Ensure product integrity & zero contamination

Key Skills Required

Warehouse & logistics management skills

Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO & food warehouse standards

ERP/WMS proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)

Transportation & route planning

Strong leadership & communication

Problem-solving & analytical thinking

Qualification & Experience

Graduate in Supply Chain / Logistics / Commerce preferred

3–7 years’ experience in food/confectionery FG warehouse operations

Experience in FMCG preferred

Reporting To: Supply Chain Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
