Job Summary:

CADCENTER IEE Cochin, a corporate training hub, is seeking a dynamic and skilled Fashion Design Faculty to inspire and educate aspiring designers. The ideal candidate should be creative, passionate, and technically sound in both traditional and modern fashion design practices. Candidates with Fashion CAD proficiency will be given highest priority. Freshers with a strong portfolio and Masters in Fashion Design are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:1. Teaching & Curriculum Development

· Conduct engaging theory and practical classes on garment design, pattern-making, draping, textiles, and digital fashion tools.

· Develop, update, and align curriculum with industry trends and academic standards.

· Deliver live demonstrations and hands-on training in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, and other Fashion CAD tools.

· Employ innovative teaching strategies including project-based and blended learning.

2. Student Development & Mentorship

· Mentor students on design projects, internships, and portfolio creation.

· Evaluate student progress through assessments, projects, and feedback.

· Foster creativity, innovation, and independent thinking in student work.

· Provide career guidance and help students explore fashion industry pathways.

3. Industry Collaboration & Events

· Stay current with fashion trends, technologies, and market demands.

· Coordinate with designers and fashion brands for guest lectures and internships.

· Support or organize fashion shows, exhibitions, and design contests.

4. Research & Innovation

· Encourage sustainable fashion practices and innovation in design.

· Engage in research and share insights via academic or industry forums.

5. Administration & Co-Curricular Involvement

· Participate in academic planning, faculty meetings, and course evaluations.

· Assist in organizing extracurricular and co-curricular design workshops, exhibitions, and student showcases.

6. Digital & Technological Integration

· Introduce students to advanced tools like 3D fashion modeling, virtual design platforms, and AI-driven design technologies.

· Use e-learning platforms for hybrid content delivery and student engagement.

7. Professional & Soft Skills Development

· Train students in industry-relevant soft skills such as communication, presentation, teamwork, and ethics in fashion.

Key Skills Required:

· Expertise in Fashion Design (Pattern-making, Garment Construction, Illustration)

· Fashion CAD tools (Reach CAD, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, etc.)

· Strong communication and mentoring ability

· Creativity in teaching methodology

· Awareness of sustainable and ethical fashion trends

· Industry networking and collaboration experience
