Position Overview


A Sales Consultant in retail is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a smooth and positive store experience. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and maintaining store standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Customer Service & Engagement


  • Welcome customers and assist them in identifying products that meet their needs.
  • Provide product knowledge, features, and benefits to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism.


Sales Achievement


  • Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly sales targets.
  • Promote new arrivals, key products, and ongoing offers.
  • Support upselling and cross-selling to maximize store revenue.


Store Operations


  • Ensure merchandise is neatly displayed, well-stocked, and in line with visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and tagging.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and fitting rooms.


Transaction Handling


  • Process sales through POS systems accurately.
  • Manage exchanges, returns, and billing with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed.


Team Collaboration


  • Work closely with the store team to achieve overall store targets.
  • Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and store activities.
  • Support colleagues during peak hours and events.


Qualifications & Skills


  • 0–3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Comfortable with POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
