Job Description

Role Overview

Quality Engineer FARO

Key Responsibilities

Perform dimensional inspection using
FARO Arm
and related metrology software (e.g., PolyWorks, CAM2).
Conduct
First Article Inspection (FAI)
, in-process, and final inspection activities.
Interpret
engineering drawings, GD&T
, and customer specifications to determine inspection criteria.
Prepare and maintain
inspection reports, calibration records
, and quality documentation as per
AS9100/ISO 9001
standards.
Identify and report
non-conformances
, working closely with production and design teams to implement corrective actions.
Support
root cause analysis
and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure
calibration and maintenance
of metrology equipment.
Participate in
quality audits
and contribute to process capability studies (Cpk, PPAP, etc.).

Required Skills & Competencies

Hands-on experience with
FARO Arm
or similar portable CMM equipment.
Sound knowledge of
metrology principles
and
geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
.
Experience using
metrology software
such as PolyWorks, CAM2, or similar.
Good understanding of
aerospace or precision manufacturing quality standards
(ISO 9001 / AS9100).
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams effectively.
