Job Title: Operations & Facilities Assistant Location: Sudhagad, Raigad, Maharashtra Department: Administration Reports to: Facilities Manager Job Summary: The Operations & Facilities Assistant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational, administrative, and logistical functions across the hostel, kitchen, cafeteria, and academy facilities. This role requires hands-on involvement in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, supplies, and overall upkeep of the campus infrastructure while ensuring student welfare and discipline. Key Responsibilities: Store & Inventory Management: Manage daily stock and supply of groceries, vegetables, fruits, and hygiene products in the kitchen and cafeteria. Oversee ordering, delivery, and proper storage of food provisions and other essential supplies. Maintain inventory logs for stores, refrigerators, and kitchen supplies. Hostel & Student Welfare: Address student grievances related to hostel facilities and escalate unresolved issues. Ensure timely laundry distribution and collection in the hostel. Monitor cleanliness and maintenance of hostel rooms, corridors, and washrooms. Assist in organizing timely haircuts for cadets and ensure hygiene standards in salon facilities. Facility Maintenance & Housekeeping: Inspect cleanliness and hygiene in all areas including the Hostel, Academy, Cafeteria, and Workshop. Coordinate and support housekeeping staff in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. Take daily rounds of recreation areas and gymnasium to ensure upkeep and discipline. Cafeteria & Canteen Operations: Support canteen operations, especially during meal service at the buffet counter. Monitor hygiene practices and assist in maintaining a clean kitchen and cafeteria environment. Logistics & Gate Security: Manage delivery and receipt of items from external vendors; maintain proper records and registers. Coordinate with security staff to ensure that only the North Gate is used for all deliveries and exits. Medical & Wellness Support: Provide assistance during medical attendance and health emergencies. Ensure timely coordination for cadet health check-ups and first aid needs. Support in Special Areas: Assist in the care and maintenance of plants and animals on campus. Support manual labor tasks as and when required. Monitor and support operations of the Organic Waste Converter (OWC) composting machine. Administrative & Financial Tasks: Maintain petty cash and support minor expenditure reconciliation. Assist in vehicle maintenance scheduling and coordinate vehicle cleaning and washing. Requirements: Graduate degree in Hotel Management or relevant field. Prior experience in campus operations, hostel management, or facility support roles preferred. Basic knowledge of hygiene, safety, and housekeeping practices. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, work flexible hours, and respond to emergencies.
