Facade Consultant

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with Clients and Architects to discuss design details
• Be pro-actively involved in design for projects
• Sketch details to develop ideas and to explain concepts
• Produce drawings, specifications and reports and coordinate the work of others as required
• Review contractor’s submissions and interface with the Client and site engineers for technical queries
• Review and comment on sub-contractor’s shop drawings & structural calculations, BD submission drawings, fabrication drawings & material submission
• Carry out factory fabrication inspections, PMU test inspections, tempered glass heat soak tests, stone cladding inspections etc.. and prepare associated technical and site inspection reports
• Meet and report regularly to the site based client engineering team
• Provide training to other members of the team
• Carry out research on potential facade materials and share knowledge and update technical library
• Evaluate opportunities for improved efficiencies and effectiveness in consultation with management including identifying, developing and implementing standards, systems, tools and processes to support continuous improvement within the business
• Communicate with clients to establish their needs and maintain a dialogue throughout the project
• Maintain an exceptional favourable record in client response to timeliness and quality of work provided
• Continually aim for repeat business from all clients in contact with Mirai
• Identification of technically complex projects and problems that require high level input
• Provision of concept design, peer review and checking services on international projects to assist in maintaining high standards
• Taking necessary action to prevent the occurrence of design documentation and/or quality system non-conformity
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained to a level as required by Mirai’s QA system
• Endorse and facilitate the quality management system (QMS) and the Business’s commitment to quality

Skills:

• Preparation of proportionate dimensioned and annotated hand sketches.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling tools like Sketchup, Autodesk Fusion and Inventor.
• Knowldge of BIM platforms like Autodesk Revit along with parametric / generative tools like Rhino would be an added advantage.
• Technical writing skills doe reports and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Graphic suites like Adobe Indesign, Affinity Designer/Publisher will be considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Production Engineering Or Architecture
• Any additional qualification relevant to building engineering / design would be considered an advantage

Location

• On-site based in Navi mumbai. Candidates from Mumbai, Thane and Navi mumbai willing to commute are preferred.
