Job Title: Fabrication Incharge

Job Summary: The Fabrication Incharge will be responsible for overseeing and managing all fabrication activities within the manufacturing facility. This role involves leading a team of fabricators and welders to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of weighbridges, scales, and other fabricated steel structures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy metal fabrication, a strong understanding of quality control, and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the fabrication team, including welders and fabricators, to ensure production targets are met.
• Manage the fabrication schedule and workflow to optimize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Oversee the cutting, shaping, and assembly of steel components for weighbridges and other products.
• Ensure all fabrication and welding work adheres to quality standards and design specifications.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the fabrication workshop.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and finished products to maintain high quality.
• Coordinate with the design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment required for fabrication.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members to enhance their skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or in-charge role in a heavy metal fabrication environment, preferably in the manufacturing of industrial equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of various fabrication processes, including cutting, welding (MIG, TIG, Arc), bending, and assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality assurance procedures in fabrication.
