External Shifter System Technical Expertise

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed testing of external shifter systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and protocols.
• Prepare detailed validation plan in line with Project requirement and stake holder alignment.
• Engage the discussion with Engineering, Quality, after sales, Mfg. Plant within IAP and Global team as well for varies projects (technical, planning, cost and Quality)
• Ability to Analyze the Customer complaint and provide technical solution in line with Engineering /process requirement.
• Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Work closely with design engineers to provide insights and suggestions for design enhancements.
• Assist in the development of new external shifter system concepts.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to external shifter systems.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments and innovations in external shifter system technology.
• Skilled in Organize & lead the meeting, PPT & presentation and Populate meeting minutes.
• Create PR, RFQ, technical discussion with supplier and purchase, negotiation
• Prepare and submit root cause Investigation report for Field issue and alignment
• Maintain Data: Test report, SOP acceptance, Supplier Inspection Etc.

Position Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• Graduate/Post Graduate degree in mechanical/automotive engineering Discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate/Post Graduate degree in mechanical/automotive engineering Discipline.
• System Expertise focusing on manual transmission shifting system.
• 15+ years of experience in Manual Transmission design and development

Competencies:

Technical

• Strong Process knowledge of Casting, Stamping, Forging, Machining, injection Molding.
• Should have hands on experience on Detailing, Tolerancing and stack up analysis.
• Should have good knowledge on materials and heat treatment process.
• Should have Sound knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes.
• Hands on experience in tools like CATIA/UG.
• Strong Problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation Skills.
• PLM tools experience Ex. Innovia, team Center
• Interpersonal Skills
• Willingness to travel to supplier places within India
