Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence & Quality Control

  • Standards: Establish, implement, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance throughout all areas of the property (guest rooms, suites, lobbies, restaurants, spa, meeting rooms, offices).
  • Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure brand standards are consistently met.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee and control inventory of linen, uniform, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities, ensuring sufficient stock while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Laundry Operations: Manage the entire laundry operation, ensuring efficiency, quality of finish, and timely delivery of guest and house laundry services.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Training & Development: Recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage the performance of the entire Housekeeping team (Supervisors, Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Laundry staff).
  • Scheduling: Prepare efficient duty rotas and schedules, managing labor costs while ensuring adequate coverage based on occupancy levels.
  • Motivation: Foster a positive and professional work environment, motivating the team to achieve departmental goals and high levels of service.

3. Financial, Safety & Maintenance Coordination

  • Budgeting: Prepare and manage the departmental budget, monitoring expenditures, and striving for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Maintenance Liaison: Coordinate closely with the Engineering/Maintenance Department to promptly address and rectify maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Safety & Security: Ensure all departmental procedures comply with fire, health, and safety regulations, including chemical handling protocols (COSHH) and ergonomic practices.
  • Lost & Found: Oversee the proper management and documentation of the hotel/resort's Lost & Found procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum 10 + years of progressive experience in the Housekeeping department, with at least 4 years in leadership role (Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper) within a quality hotel or resort.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
