Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for an Executive Chef at The Shalimar Hotel in Mumbai. The Executive Chef will oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring quality standards. Key responsibilities involve managing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, monitoring inventory, and coordinating with restaurant management to create an exceptional dining experience for guests. The role will also require creativity in curating innovative culinary offerings to enhance the hotel's dining reputation.

Qualifications

  • Proven culinary skills in menu planning, food preparation, and recipe creation
  • Strong team management skills, including leading and developing kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management
  • Creativity in creating unique and innovative culinary experiences
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality settings is a plus
  • Formal culinary training or an equivalent qualification is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to dynamic situations
