Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and execution-driven Mines Manager to lead operations at our high-capacity granite building stone mine in Kerala. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for end-to-end mining operations—including planning, production, cost control, compliance, workforce efficiency, and digital reporting. On a day-to-day basis you will: • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Civil 3D for tunnel alignment modelling, profile generation, and detailed modelling of shaft structures, station boxes, cross-passages, and caverns. • Develop and manage tunnel corridor models, including 3D alignments, longitudinal sections, and grading for portal/headwall areas and approach ramps. • Create and manage Civil 3D surfaces, feature lines, and volume calculations for excavation, backfilling, and staging purposes. • Prepare BIM-ready 3D models and high-quality 2D drawings at concept, preliminary, detailed, and tender stages for underground structures. • Extract cross-sections, longitudinal sections, excavation staging drawings, temporary and permanent works layouts, and setting-out drawings directly from BIM models. • Prepare construction drawings including general arrangements (GA), tunnel profiles, shaft and station cross-sections, waterproofing layouts, invert details, and segmental lining layouts. • Apply BIM and CAD standards to ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables and maintain model health across design phases. • Conduct clash detection and ensure compliance with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and ISO 19650 workflows. • Contribute to interdisciplinary coordination with structural, MEP, architectural, and geotechnical teams for complex underground spaces. • Efficient in using automation tools (LISP, Macros) or visual programming (Dynamo, Python) to streamline repetitive modelling tasks. • Understand and apply British, European, and international standards for civil and underground works. • Work with Common Data Environments (CDEs) like Autodesk BIM 360, ProjectWise, or similar platforms for model sharing and collaboration. • Collaborate with BIM Managers and Engineers to review sketches, convert redlines into 3D/2D deliverables, and maintain model integrity and accuracy.
