Job Description: Event Purchase Manager – CherishX

We are looking for a skilled Event Purchase Manager to streamline our procurement operations and manage inventory effectively.

Purchase Manager
Location: Kirti Nagar, New Delhi
Experience Level: 2-5 years in procurement, inventory management, or related fields
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Purchase Order (PO) Management:
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in line with the company’s requirements.
Ensure timely approval and execution of POs to avoid delays in procurement.
Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
2. Bill and Invoice Closure:
Verify received materials against POs and ensure accuracy in billing.
Collaborate with the accounts team to close bills and manage payment cycles efficiently.
3. Vendor Management:
Identify and onboard reliable vendors for sourcing high-quality materials for decorations and gifting.
Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure consistent supply.
Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors to secure cost-effective deals.
4. Trend Research & Material Sourcing:
Stay updated on the latest trends in decorations, materials, and event setups.
Source trendy and innovative materials from local markets and vendors.
Evaluate and introduce new vendors based on market trends and project needs.
5. Negotiation and Cost Optimization:
Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with local and regional vendors to achieve the best value.
Monitor and analyze spending patterns to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
6. Collaboration:
Work closely with the inventory team to ensure stock requirements are met without overstocking.
Coordinate with the creative and operations teams to procure materials aligned with project needs.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all POs, bills, and vendor agreements.
Generate periodic reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and cost savings for management review.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
A certification in procurement or inventory management (e.g., CIPS, APICS) is a plus.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in inventory management systems or ERP software.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and analysis.
Soft Skills:
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
