Event Manager

As an Event Manager at our prestigious convention center in Kochi, Kerala, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of events with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Your role will involve planning, executing, and managing various events such as conferences, exhibitions, weddings, and corporate functions. You must possess excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively manage teams and vendors, ensuring seamless event experiences. Your key responsibilities will include acting as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams throughout the event lifecycle. You will be required to manage event budgets, contracts, and timelines, ensuring smooth execution within financial and time constraints. Supervising event setup, logistics, and breakdown will be essential to ensure efficient and safe operations. Collaboration with marketing teams for event promotions and branding requirements is also a crucial aspect of the role. Maintaining strong relationships with service providers such as decorators, caterers, AV technicians, and security personnel is vital for successful event management. Compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations during all events is a priority. You will be expected to prepare post-event reports, analyze feedback, and implement improvements for future events. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of proven experience in event management, strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a problem-solving mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings based on event schedules is required. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
