ETL & Database Engineering Trainer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced ETL and Data Engineering Trainer to deliver an industry-focused

course on “Industry-Ready ETL Pipelines Development”. The trainer will guide students in

mastering data extraction, transformation, loading, orchestration, and monitoring using both

traditional and modern ETL tools with a focus on no-code and low-code platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive and practical sessions on ETL concepts, data modeling, and pipeline

automation.

• Train students on ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Pentaho) and modern orchestration

frameworks (Airflow, AWS Glue, dbt, Prefect).

• Guide learners through Python scripting, SQL transformations, and cloud-based data

warehousing.

• Mentor students during the Capstone Project, helping them build and present complete ETL

pipelines.

• Conduct hands-on labs, assignments, and periodic evaluations to measure learning outcomes.

• Demonstrate real-world data engineering workflows integrating APIs, files, and databases.

• Teach DataOps practices such as CI/CD, version control (Git), and automated testing for data

quality.

• Provide continuous feedback, troubleshooting assistance, and career-oriented guidance.

Technical Skills Required

• Python (Pandas, APIs, DB connectivity), Advanced SQL

• ETL Tools: Talend, Informatica PowerCenter, Pentaho

• Modern Stack: Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, dbt, Prefect

• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

• Cloud Data Warehouses: Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse

• Version Control: Git, GitHub, Docker, CI/CD workflows

• Visualization: Power BI or Tableau (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

• 3–8 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering / ETL Development.

• Experience with data pipeline design, orchestration, and deployment.

• Prior experience in academic teaching, corporate training, or technical mentoring preferred.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing principles, and data governance.
