Job Summary:

ETL Data Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform

  ETL testing

  to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Design and execute

  test plans, test cases, and test scripts

  for data validation.
• Conduct

  source-to-target data mapping

  verification and reconciliation.
• Validate

  data migration

  processes between legacy systems and target data warehouses/lakes.
• Develop and maintain

  automated test scripts

  using tools like

  Python, SQL, or automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, PyTest, or custom data validation scripts)

  .
• Work closely with

  ETL developers and data engineers

  to identify and resolve data issues.
• Perform

  data profiling

  and ensure data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
• Create and maintain detailed

  test documentation

  and defect tracking.
• Participate in

  Agile/Scrum

  ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in

  ETL testing

  (Informatica, DataStage, Talend, SSIS, etc.).
• Excellent proficiency in

  SQL

  for complex queries and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with

  data migration

  projects.
• Experience in

  automation testing

  for data validation (using Python, PyTest, or similar).
• Familiarity with

  data warehouse concepts

  ,

  data lakes

  , and

  BI tools

  .
• Experience with

  JIRA

  ,

  Confluence

  , or similar test management tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of

  Cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Exposure to

  Big Data testing

  (Hive, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience with

  CI/CD pipelines

  for test automation.
• Familiarity with

  API testing

  and

  data validation using Postman or REST Assured

  .
