Equity Research Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Equity Research Analyst to join our growing research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking assigned sectors/companies, conducting in-depth financial analysis, creating research reports, and supporting our clients and internal teams with actionable investment insights.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct in-depth research and analysis on assigned sectors and companies.
2. Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, comparables, ratio analysis, etc.).
3. Track sector trends, macroeconomic factors, and regulatory developments.
4. Prepare equity research reports including company initiations, result updates, and thematic notes.
5. Participate in earnings calls, management meetings, and investor briefings.
6. Provide stock recommendations based on rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis.
7. Coordinate with sales and trading teams to deliver timely market insights.
8. Contribute to thought leadership content and client presentations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; MBA/CFA (preferred).
2. 3–5 years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or financial modelling.
3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
4. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (Bloomberg, Reuters, CapitalIQ, etc.).
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Nice to Have:

1. Sector specialization (e.g., BFSI, FMCG, IT, Pharma, etc.).
2. Published research or exposure to media/market commentary.
3. Client-facing experience in a buy-side or sell-side setup.
