EPR Executive


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Executive for Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) to join our Environmental Compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for staying abreast of changes in the Plastic Waste Management Rules (PWMR), 2016, and its amendments, ensuring that our clients remain compliant with relevant regulations. This role involves direct interaction with clients to guide them on compliance matters, liaising with government authorities, consulting on best practices in plastic waste management, and upholding the standard operating procedures (SOPs) of our organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated with the latest developments and changes in mechanisms and rules related to Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) as per the PWMR, 2016, and subsequent amendments.
  • Manage and furnish compliances for clients with respect to the PWMR, ensuring all regulations are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Engage directly with clients, providing one-on-one guidance on compliance issues, and best practices for plastic waste management.
  • Liaise with various government authorities at different levels to address and resolve queries and concerns related to clients' EPR obligations.
  • Consult with clients on best practices for plastic waste management and EPR compliance, helping them to understand and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • Follow the organization's standard operating procedures (SOPs) diligently, ensuring all activities are conducted in line with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Report progress and any compliance issues to the managers, ensuring transparent communication and timely resolution of any challenges.

  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Office productivity tools such as, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, law or any other relevant field.
  • Proven experience in environmental compliance, particularly in EPR and plastic waste management will be preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and government authorities.
