Job Description:

Sri Edu Foundation PU College, Basaveshwara Nagar, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time English Faculty to handle both theory and practical (language lab/communication skills) for 1st and 2nd PUC students, following the Karnataka State Board syllabus. The ideal candidate must have a strong command of the English language, effective classroom presence, and a passion for teaching both literature and language skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured English theory classes, covering grammar, prose, poetry, and comprehension for I & II PUC students.
• Conduct practical sessions focused on spoken English, communication skills, and writing practice (letters, essays, reports, etc.).
• Design lesson plans aligned with the PUC State Board syllabus and ensure timely completion of the curriculum.
• Evaluate students through assignments, oral presentations, written tests, and language activities.
• Foster language fluency through interactive and activity-based learning methods.
• Provide individual attention to students where necessary and support language development across varying proficiency levels.
• Encourage reading habits, vocabulary building, and critical thinking among students.
• Participate in academic coordination, meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement in teaching practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English / Literature / Education (B.Ed. preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching English at the PUC level (State Board syllabus experience preferred).
• Language Skills: Excellent fluency in spoken and written English. Ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively.
• Teaching Skills: Strong understanding of PUC-level English syllabus, classroom engagement, and student assessment.
• Other Skills: Time management, interpersonal skills, basic computer literacy, and adaptability.
