Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager at Ramco Systems to lead our dynamic development team in Chennai. This full-time role requires an experienced professional with a minimum of 8 years and a maximum of 12 years of relevant work experience. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in an innovative environment and is ready to drive engineering excellence across our software products.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience with agile methodologies to ensure the efficient and flexible management of large development projects.
Expertise in people management to foster team collaboration, resolve conflicts, and enhance team productivity and morale.
Strong command of project management tools for tracking progress, allocating resources, and managing timelines effectively.
In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle to oversee projects from conception to deployment.
Competence in cloud computing platforms to optimize infrastructure and drive scalable, robust solutions.
Experience with microservices architecture to design and implement modular, scalable applications in a complex environment.
Capability in budget management to optimize resource allocation and maximize financial performance across projects.
Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration and cooperation among diverse teams and departments.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver high-quality software products on time and within budget.
Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, from requirements gathering through to deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA to ensure alignment of objectives.
Set strategic direction for the engineering operations, aligning with business goals and industry standards.
Develop and implement agile processes to enhance productivity and rapid deployment of software solutions.
Manage resource allocation and project timelines, ensuring efficient delivery and risk mitigation strategies.
Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering growth and development.
