Job Description

As an Engineering Manager at our organization, you play a crucial role in managing the Engineering and Technical aspects of substation protection and automation projects within the Grid Automation Business Line in India region. Your responsibilities include setting clear objectives and deliverables for the engineering team, defining technical objectives of projects, supervising design processes, conducting risk assessments, maintaining harmonious connections between team members and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, managing project budgets, overseeing team operations, leading the team in adopting new technologies, negotiating contracts, ensuring engineering quality assurance, participating in the recruitment process, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Set clear objectives and deliverables for the engineering team aligned with company goals. - Define technical objectives of projects, establish timelines, and determine required resources. - Supervise design processes, collaborate with external designers and solution providers, and work with vendors of design software. - Conduct risk assessments, identify potential challenges, and develop mitigation strategies. - Maintain harmonious connections between team members, project managers, clients, and partners. - Ensure projects adhere to relevant regulations and standards, monitor changes, and ensure compliance. - Handle project budgets, monitor expenditures, optimize resource allocation, and track progress. - Oversee team operations, monitor performance, facilitate growth, and resolve disputes. - Lead the team in adopting new technologies to improve work efficiency and solve technical problems effectively. - Negotiate and manage contracts with clients and suppliers, foster positive relationships with external parties. - Ensure engineering quality assurance, comply with standards, and deliver high-quality final products. - Participate in the recruitment process, select candidates aligned with team needs and company values. - Conduct performance reviews for engineering teams, ensure productivity, and support career development. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. **Qualifications Required:** - Degree in BE / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics Engineering with 15+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager in Electrical power/Automation Engineering (CRP / SAS). - Analytical skills for evaluating information and solving complex problems. - Communication skills for overseeing staff and collaborating with management. - Organizational skills for managing budgets, employees, and schedules effectively. - Knowledge of SAP system is desirable. - Team player with proficiency in spoken and written English language.
