Engineering Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in Big Data technologies to lead a high-performing team of data engineers. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in Python, Apache Spark, and AWS-based data solutions, along with a passion for building scalable data platforms and mentoring technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Big Data engineers to design, build, and optimize large-scale data processing systems.
• Drive technical decisions around architecture, tools, and frameworks for high-performance data solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and implement efficient ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Ensure best practices for data quality, performance, and security across distributed systems.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and team performance with a balance of technical depth and leadership.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 915 years of experience in software or data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and related ecosystems.
• Proven experience with AWS data services (EMR, Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, etc.).
• Solid understanding of data architecture, distributed computing, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
