Title: Engineering Manager-Electrical Switchboards

Qualifications: Bachelors or Master degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed University.

Experience: 10 to 15 years experience in relevant field. Min. 05 years’ experience in project management role.

Expected Job Role:

Managing Engineering Design of Switchboards and Electrical Distribution Systems and Power Management System (Main Switchboards, Emergency Switchboards, Power Distribution Boards and Energy distribution Centres (EDCs)).

Managing engineering team to Carry out complete engineering of an order including preparation of drawings, release for manufacturing, testing procedures, FAT schedule etc. and getting customer approval for the same.

Resource Planning and allocation for execution of projects including tools & tackles

Co-ordination with customer/external agencies for approvals, inspections and clearances for the entire lifecycle of the project

Preparing final technical documentation for the order

Manage and resolve project risks and issues.

Ensuring the project is delivered in a cost effective and timely manner meeting the required quality level.

Ensuring compliance with relevant defence standards

Managing and communicating project schedules/timelines, problem resolution progress and customer expectations to internal and external stakeholders.

Customer interaction and onsite visits for feasibility studies, technical discussions.

Technical support to Sales for technical offer and cost estimates

Interaction with internal departments for co-ordination of various activities

Technical competency:

Hands-on experience in system design of electrical and power systems

Understanding specifications and offering solutions with the available technology

Experience in Design of Main Supply Switchboards, Emergency Switchboards, Power Distribution Boards and Energy distribution Centres (EDCs)).

Preparation of System Design Drawings like GA drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Internal Layout Drawings, Installation Drawings, Internal & External Wiring Diagrams.

Preparation of Acceptance Test Procedures, Quality Assurance Plans, Technical Manuals.

Product compliance testing for Environmental and EMI/EMC as per MIL Standards

Understanding Customer requirements / RFP specifications and offering solutions with the available technology

Proficiency in managing multiple projects related to Engineering design in Switchboards and Power Management.

Excellent analytical & inter-personal skills with proven ability in driving the project

Hands-on knowledge and skills on any project related to defence domain will be an advantage
