Engineering Manager

Role Overview:

The Engineering Manager at AtliQ will be responsible for leading a group of talented engineers, driving technical delivery, ensuring team growth, and fostering a positive engineering culture.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, QA, and Business teams to deliver high-quality solutions, while coaching engineers to meet both business goals and their own professional aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Guide architecture, design, and technical decisions across projects.

· Drive engineering best practices: code reviews, quality assurance, security, scalability, and performance.

· Solve complex technical problems and remove blockers for the team.

· Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 6–15 engineers.

· Conduct regular 1:1s, goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.

· Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, learning, and collaboration.

· Manage team conflicts, interpersonal issues, and team morale with empathy.

· Work with product managers to plan, prioritize, and deliver high-quality software on time.

· Manage resource allocation, timelines, and risks.

· Balance business goals with engineering constraints.

· Act as a bridge between leadership, engineering, product, and business.

· Provide regular updates, insights, and transparent communication across teams.

Who You Are:

· 5+ years of hands-on software development experience (preferably full-stack, backend, or cloud platforms).

· 2+ years in people management or technical leadership roles.

· Proven track record of leading high-performing teams.

· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

· Strong communicator who can align teams, manage stakeholders, and handle conflicts.

· Comfortable with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

· Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have:

· Experience working in a product-based/startup environment.

· Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

· Experience in hiring, mentoring, and career development of engineers.
