Description:

Purpose

The Engineering Department Managers purpose is to enable the Company to meet its strategic objectives through the development of the Engineering organisation in their assigned department

Responsibilities

You are responsible for developing and maintaining synergies through the management of Discipline Managers to ensure they are working in an integrated manner.
You oversee resource allocation, training, and quality of work within the department.
You monitor the interfaces between Disciplines and coordinates with other Department Managers and the Engineering Manager to increase efficiencies.
You oversee the manpower planning and resource management for Disciplines and determine the need and scope for subcontracting work.
You are responsible for overseeing the development and improvement of engineering tools and processes.
You are responsible for talent development across Disciplines. You take ownership of the overall quality and performance of the work performed by the Department.
