Overview of The Role

As an Engineer - Test Automation, your key responsibilities will include utilizing automation tools to manage test cases, execute comprehensive tests, and assess test results. Your efforts will be pivotal in enhancing software quality by identifying issues early and ensuring the system meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and functionality.

Job Responsibilities

Strong experience in Java programming language to enhance and maintain automation frameworks.
Analyse requirements from the specifications and document test cases according to agreed-upon standards.
Engage in creating comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality.
Ensure thorough test coverage by validating software functionality, performance, security, and usability through automated testing tools and frameworks, while collaborating closely with teams to resolve ambiguities.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
Share status updates on progress, discuss challenges, and propose solutions to Senior/Lead Engineers.
Provide support within the team on automation test-assigned projects.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of overall experience in QA testing with minimum 2+ years experience in Automation Testing.
Experience in developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver/Selenide for web application testing.
Skilled in testing frameworks including Cucumber /Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Strong experience in Java programming language to enhance and maintain automation frameworks.
Well-versed in developing automated test scripts for API testing using tools such as Postman.
Should have experience in executing automated tests using TestNG.
Good understanding of STLC and excellent problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with SQL concepts,CI/CD pipeline, Git lifecycle and process.
Communicate effectively with team members to convey test results and address any issues.
