Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing requests for proposals, developing project specifications, and preparing technical and commercial proposals/bids. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate with clients to gather information and provide design solutions tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities:

Review requests for proposals (RFPs) and assess project requirements.
Outline project specifications, including technical and commercial aspects.
Generate quotation for bought-out items from market.
Prepare complete technical and commercial proposals/bids and bid documents.
Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, sales, and operations, to gather necessary information and ensure proposal accuracy.
Communicate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and design requirements.
Conduct industry research to stay updated on market trends, competitors, and technological advancements.
Develop schedules and budgets for project phases, considering resource availability and client deadlines.
Utilize SAP to streamline order transfer and manage technical data, including creating sales orders and work breakdown structures (WBS).

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
4-5 years of experience as an application engineer.
Strong knowledge in the application field.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop accurate cost estimations and prepare detailed proposals.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with clients.
Familiarity with Excel-based tools.
Knowledge of SAP or similar software for order management and technical data organization will be added advantage.
Self-motivated and able to work independently, with strong attention to detail.
