Job Description

Job Title: Quality Test Engineer – Data Validation & BI Testing

Experience Level: 5+ Years

Industry: Finance / Procurement / Technology

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Test Engineer with over 5+ years of experience in quality testing, data validation, and business intelligence reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience working with Power BI, and familiarity with Snowflake. A background in finance and procurement domains is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for validating Power BI reports.
Write complex SQL and Snowflake queries to validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across databases and reports.
Perform end-to-end data validation between source systems, databases, and Power BI dashboards.
Validate digital assistant responses against Power BI reports and backend data sources.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and ensure data quality.
Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in data and reports.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing, with a focus on data validation and BI testing.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Snowflake for data extraction and validation.
Hands-on experience with Power BI report testing and validation.
Ability to validate data across multiple systems including digital assistants and backend databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Finance and Procurement domains.
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting is a plus.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
