Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain system software that provides security and safety to next generation embedded systems
• Support new hardware architectures and features.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, security, and systems architecture teams to define and review software requirements, architectures, and safety concepts
• Ensure software quality through rigorous unit/integration testing, static analysis, and code reviews, in accordance with industry safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, DO-178C).
• Architect solutions to complex issues that involves interactions between components partitioned across software stack
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes for functional safety, reliability, and security.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Electronics or a related field
• 4 - 6 years of hands-on development experience in embedded systems and firmware
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and low level embedded programming techniques
• Solid understanding of ARM architecture, hardware abstraction, and board-level programming.
• Experience developing, debugging, and optimizing device drivers (UART, GPIO, SPI, timers, MMU, interrupt controllers).
• Familiarity with functional safety or real-time system design principles and standards
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), build tools, and hardware debugging
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
