Embedded Software Engineer

Role Overview: As an Embedded C Developer at LG Soft India, your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain software for embedded systems, focusing on embedded C programming for various consumer electronics products such as washing machines, air conditioners, and microwave ovens. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of software with hardware components, thereby optimizing performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain embedded software using C programming for 16/32-bit microcontrollers like STM32 and SOCs such as ITE or similar platforms. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for low-level system functionalities like device drivers and firmware. - Utilize Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr to manage real-time tasks and ensure system responsiveness. - Leverage experience with Embedded Linux to develop applications for consumer electronics. - Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate software with hardware components, ensuring smooth operation of embedded systems. - Debug hardware-related issues using tools like JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and CAN analyzers. - Develop and optimize device drivers for peripherals such as USB, I2C, SPI, GPIO, and UART. - Work on firmware development for embedded systems, ensuring reliability and performance across different hardware platforms. - Implement and maintain communication protocols such as BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), CAN, and Ethernet. - Ensure robust communication between embedded systems and external devices or networks. - Engage with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and QA teams, to deliver high-quality software solutions. - Conduct unit testing and participate in system integration testing to ensure software meets product requirements. Qualification Required: - Proficiency in C and Embedded C programming languages. - Hands-on experience with 16/32-bit microcontrollers like STM32 and SOCs like ITE. - Familiarity with IDEs such as Visual Studio Code. - Experience working with RTOSs like FreeRTOS and Zephyr. - Knowledge of Embedded Linux. - Understanding of architectures including 8051, ARM, AVR, Panasonic, and Renesas. - Familiarity with communication protocols like USB, Ethernet, BLE, CAN, I2C, SPI, and UART. - Preference for products like Washing Machines, Microwave Ovens, and Air Conditioners. - Working experience in CMSIS supported platforms is an added advantage. - Proficiency in hardware debugging using tools like Emulator, CAN Analyzer, Ethernet, JTAG, Oscilloscope, etc.,
