Job Description

Company:

Yotuh Energy's mission toward sustainable and ultra energy-efficient cooling has just begun, starting with the often-overlooked yet deeply impactful sector of cold chain logistics.

We engineer electric refrigeration units for cold logistics trucks. Our product ensures the correct temperature is maintained in the cargo container of the truck during the transit. By doing so we provide a more economical, reliable and greener way to transport perishables like milk, curd, paneer, meat, seafood, icecreams, frozen foods, fruits, veggies, as well as vaccines and pharmaceuticals. With such a massive population to feed, our product solves a big missing link in cold chain logistics.

Yotuh Energy is the first and only company in India to build electric refrigeration units enabling upcoming Electric Vehicles and existing Small Commercial Vehicles to handle cold logistics.

As embedded hardware engineer you will be

  • Building microcontroller based systems like ECUs, interfacing with various drives, sensors, batteries, IOT and HMIs - designed to be not only reliable, but also fail-safe, resilient to faults and capable of delivering stringent control over refrigeration unit.
  • Define and drive the overall electronics architecture, making critical decisions on microcontrollers, power distribution, communication lines, fault-tolerance and system integration.
  • Work with Embedded Software, Controls, Refrigeration teams in understanding how the overall product should behave and design accordingly.
  • Planning System Level engineering goals, timelines, and executing on it.

Role offers a very unique and tough enduring opportunity for engineers to design, build, test and scale up a unique product. Building a refrigeration unit that is carrying critical products giving no time till they will perish- demands to have one of the most reliable electronics ever built.

Responsibilities -

  • System Design: Capture requirements, Plan Architecture, Select uC & components, design schematics.
  • Implement & Develop: Design and develop PCBs based on ARM processors using standard tools like Altium, including associated component selection.
  • Testing: Perform various testings on prototypes to validate and improve hardware design.
  • Scale Up: Own and lead the transition of taking design to scalable production stages.

Requirements -

  1. Possess hands-on experience with ARM based processor or microcontroller family preferably STM.
  2. Familiar with communication protocols like UART, CAN, RS232, USB, Ethernet etc
  3. Solid understanding of essential electronic components such as MOSFETs, diodes, capacitors, and inductors etc.
  4. Understanding of DFX (DFA, DFM, etc.)
  5. FMEA practices and designing fail-safe, fault-tolerant electronics will be a plus.
  6. Prior exposure to EMI/EMC compliant design, testing, and mitigation techniques will be a plus.
