Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Engineer with experience in BLE-based IoT systems, Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL), and embedded firmware development using platforms such as Nordic Semiconductor (nRF52/nRF53) or Silicon Labs (EFR32).

The ideal candidate will work on ESL Access Points, BLE communication stacks, and antenna-array–based asset tracking features that enable precision location and access-controlled device interactions.

This is a hands-on development role, ideal for someone passionate about firmware design, wireless communication, and real-time embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded firmware and hardware for ESL devices, Access Points, and BLE infrastructure.
• Develop firmware for Nordic nRF52/nRF53 and Silicon Labs EFR32BG platforms using C/C++ and relevant SDKs.
• Implement BLE 5.x communication, including direction finding (AoA/AoD), RSSI-based localization, and mesh networking.
• Work on antenna array calibration and signal processing for indoor positioning and asset tracking applications.
• Collaborate on role-based access policy enforcement at device and network level (e.g., admin, technician, viewer access).
• Integrate e-paper displays, sensors, and communication modules for smart ESL deployment.
• Interface with Raspberry Pi or ARM-based SBCs acting as ESL gateways or controllers.
• Conduct firmware optimization for low-power and long-battery-life devices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, mobile, and cloud teams for end-to-end feature delivery.
• Create documentation for system architecture, firmware workflows, and test cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on embedded development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and experience with Nordic SDK (nRF Connect) and/or Silicon Labs Simplicity Studio.
• Experience implementing BLE communication stacks and understanding of GATT, GAP, and advertising protocols.
• Familiarity with antenna arrays, direction-finding techniques, and BLE AoA/AoD localization.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, and GPIO.
• Working experience with Raspberry Pi or similar SBCs for edge computing or IoT gateway applications.
• Solid debugging skills using Segger J-Link, Keil, IAR, or equivalent tools.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with ESL (Electronic Shelf Label) or BLE beaconing systems.
• Knowledge of RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr) or embedded Linux environments.
• Understanding of RF tuning, antenna calibration, and signal integrity optimization.
• Familiarity with BLE Mesh, Direction Finding, or Asset Tracking SDKs from Nordic/Silicon Labs.
• Exposure to IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, REST API) and cloud integration workflows.
• Experience implementing secure access control policies at firmware or application level.
• Ability to read schematics and work closely with PCB design engineers.
