Job Description

Job Title: Electrician Location: Trivandrum, Kerala Department: Maintenance Qualifications & Experience: ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 1 -2 years of industrial experience, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing unit. Strong knowledge of industrial wiring, motor control circuits, VFDs, and PLC basics. Familiar with safety protocols and statutory electrical regulations. Key Responsibilities: Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used in the flour mill. Troubleshoot issues with motors, control panels, switchgears, and power distribution systems. Carry out preventive maintenance schedules and update maintenance logs. Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components for functionality and safety. Work with production and maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime of machinery. Respond promptly to breakdowns and implement corrective actions. Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations. Maintain inventory of electrical spares and tools. Assist in the implementation of energy-saving initiatives and upgrades. Support during plant shutdowns, audits, or major equipment overhauls.
