About The Role

DNV Maritime Region Southeast Asia, Pacific & India s looking for an experienced Electrical Surveyor with expertise in Newbuilding and CMC (Commissioning & Machinery Control) to supervise electrical installations and commissioning activities in shipyards across India.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect and verify electrical systems and installations during vessel construction.
Oversee commissioning of electrical and control systems, ensuring functionality and safety.
Ensure adherence to classification society standards and client specifications.
Collaborate with shipyard teams and contractors to resolve technical issues.
Document inspections, commissioning results, and compliance reports.

About You

Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical surveying or commissioning in shipbuilding.
Familiarity with marine electrical systems, automation, and control systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills with cross language capability, overcoming culture barriers to enhance team performance.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Willingness and flexibility to travel within India and abroad.
Interest to work in an international environment.
Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job: Climbing pilot ladders & in/out of tanks and confined spaces; crew boat launches in various local climate condition.
