Job Description

A Mechanical Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment, systems, and facilities . This includes developing and implementing maintenance plans, managing budgets, supervising maintenance staff, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating with other departments to optimise operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance programs, including scheduling inspections, repairs, and upgrades. Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and negotiate contracts with vendors. Team Leadership: Supervise and train maintenance technicians and other staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources. Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency. Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with vendors for spare parts, equipment, and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Inventory Control: Manage spare parts inventory, ensure timely replenishment, and minimize storage costs. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, create reports on performance and cost, and track key performance indicators. Collaboration: Work with other departments (e.g., engineering, operations) to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall system reliability.
