Job Description

An Electrical Engineer in construction is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing electrical systems within construction projects, ensuring they meet safety standards and project specifications. They work closely with architects and project managers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall building design. Their duties range from designing electrical layouts to managing contractors and resolving on-site issues. Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing Electrical Systems:Creating detailed plans for lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and other electrical systems, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Supervising Installations:Overseeing the installation of electrical equipment and ensuring it aligns with safety regulations and project specifications, working with electrical contractors and electricians.
  • Ensuring Safety:Implementing and enforcing safety standards for all electrical work on site, minimizing risks to workers and the public.
  • Troubleshooting Issues:Identifying and resolving electrical problems that arise during construction, developing solutions to keep the project on schedule.
  • Cost Estimation and Scheduling:Estimating material and labor costs, creating schedules, and managing budgets for electrical work.
  • Testing and Commissioning:Conducting tests on electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety before handover.
  • Maintaining Documentation:Preparing reports, drawings, and other documentation related to electrical systems and their installation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles: Knowledge of power distribution, lighting, control systems, and safety codes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools: Ability to create detailed designs and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills: Ability to identify and resolve electrical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and project managers.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and codes: Ensuring all electrical work complies with safety standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,641.82 - ₹40,000.00 per month
