Job Description

Electrical Engineer Role Purpose: To ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment of the hospital. This entails effectively carrying out scheduled and preventive maintenance, repair, modification etc as necessary, to keep systems functioning at peak levels. Key responsibilities of Electrical Engineer · Conducting regular inspection of existing electrical system to ensure that all maintenance programs are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines. · Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with safety guidelines and procedures. · Planning, coordinating and executing corrective/preventive maintenance programs. · Troubleshooting malfunctions of any electrical system and recommend changes or upgrades to increase efficiency, safety and functionality. Carrying out on-the-spot repairs when electrical systems and equipment malfunction. · Performing regular tests of new and existing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery, both to spot potential problems and to ensure that systems are operating at their highest possible levels of functionality. · Implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance strategies · Initiating and carrying out projects to improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs · Tracking, analyzing and improving key maintenance parameters, such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, schedule compliance, downtime, etc. · Environmental and Safety Compliance · Liaising with OEM/system contractor for all electrical systems · Improving the efficiency of operational processes, ideating and implementing systems improvement plans aimed at energy conservation. · Reporting on electrical systems and related areas as required · Any other tasks or projects as assigned Competencies required: Knowledge, skills, attitude: Knowledge Essential · Sound knowledge of all electrical systems & equipment in a hospital. · Qualification -BE with 5 Years Experience and Diploma with 10 years’ experience Good knowledge on Inspection and NABH Audits Skills Essential · Expert level competence to identify and troubleshoot electrical faults · Planning maintenance operations. · Vendor management. · Commercial acumen. · Crisis management & critical thinking ability · Software Skills · Excel · AutoCAD Attitudinal parameters · Good interpersonal abilities as evidenced by seamless collaboration with other functions and departments. · Should demonstrate the highest ethical standards. · Result oriented & a strong bias for action. · Customer service orientation. · Able to work independently. · Possess good team leadership qualities.
