Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, communication, and control systems.
Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), circuit layouts, panel schedules, and wiring diagrams.
Perform load calculations, short-circuit studies, voltage drop, and cable sizing using industry-standard software.
Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities), technical specifications, and tender documents.
Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
Ensure all designs comply with IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and local electrical codes.
Support site activities, including installation supervision, testing, and commissioning.
Implement energy-efficient and sustainable electrical solutions where applicable.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design and installation issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in electrical design for building services or industrial systems (depending on role seniority).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software .
Solid understanding of power systems, lighting design, grounding, and control systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
