Electrical Draftsman/woman

We are seeking a 1-2 years experience candidate to work with our engineering solar team on solar projects. Must be a self-starter, with strong team management, design, QC, and development experience. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with PV solar design.

Responsibilities and Duties

Generation of PV system designs using CAD tools to show Site layouts, Roof Layouts, Structural Cross Sections, Electrical One and Three-line diagrams, and component installation details.

• Create a solar design for Residential and Commercial projects.
• Understand and utilize BOS components.
• Assist in developing and improving design tools.
• Manage the team and apply QC checks on completed work.

Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of 2D CAD and basic electrical fundamentals.

• Drafting, QC, and Team Management Experience.
• Strong knowledge of photovoltaic system design and optimizing system components for energy production.
• 1+ years of Design experience.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree conferred in Electrical and Mechanical engineering
• Good working knowledge of MS Office programs, specifically Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have the ability to manage a team and to do Quality Control for the drawings.
• International experience or exposure will be a plus!
