Job Description

To work closely with the editorial team to help develop and edit popular non-fiction titles.
To work on developmental edits, copy-edits and proof-read titles as allocated as per the planned publication schedule.
To liaise with the typesetting, design and production departments to ensure a smooth pre-publication process from acquisition to final delivery of error-free, well-designed books of aesthetic and marketable value.
To work closely and proactively with the Sales and Marketing teams post-publication as required.

Requirements

At least 2 to 3 years of copy-editorial/general editorial experience in an established publishing house or media organization.
Flair and creative thinking to contribute to new ideas and list development, and flexibility to handle new processes.
Excellent organization, time management and project management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and able to work accurately, and to tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to all parties involved, including established and first-time authors, external suppliers and colleagues.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
