Job Description – Edible Oil Refinery Officer

Position: Refinery Officer (3)
Department: Production / Refinery
Location: [ Gandhidham / Gujarat]
Reporting To: Production Manager / Refinery Head

Qualification:

• B.Sc / B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) or equivalent

Experience:

• 4–8 Years of experience in Edible Oil Refinery Operations (Physical and Chemical Refining Processes)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily refinery operations and ensure smooth running of all process units — Degumming, Bleaching, Deodorization, Filtration, and Neutralization.
• Manage shift operations and manpower, ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.
• Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and vacuum, and take corrective actions as required.
• Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Utility departments for seamless operation.
• Maintain shift reports, production logs, and quality test records accurately.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), Safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) during operations.
• Analyze process data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and yield improvement.
• Provide technical guidance to operators and support staff during shift operations.
• Participate in root cause analysis of process upsets and contribute to preventive maintenance planning.
• Ensure housekeeping, safety compliance, and maintain hygiene in the refinery area.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of edible oil refining processes and plant operations.
• Familiar with automation systems (PLC/DCS) and process instrumentation.
• Sound understanding of quality parameters, process control, and energy efficiency.
• Leadership skills for managing a team during shifts.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

Employment Type:

• Full-Time / Permanent

Compensation:

• ₹45,000–₹65,000 per month depending on experience
