Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for turning data into actionable insights by recognizing trends and anomalies in multivariate datasets. In order to use these insights for business improvement, this candidate should feel comfortable using their analysis to tell a story. 

 

Key Responsibilities:


Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive research into specific e-commerce verticals, market size, growth trends, and competitive landscapes.


Buyer Persona Development:

  • Utilize data from various sources (client data, market reports, social media insights, etc.) to build detailed buyer personas and customer journey maps for our clients' target audiences.


Data Synthesis & Presentation:

  • Distill complex information and large volumes of documentation into concise, visually appealing, and fact-based reports and presentations (using Google Slides/PowerPoint).


Competitive Intelligence:

  • Monitor competitor strategies, design approaches, product offerings, and market positioning.


Industry Trend Tracking:

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in e-commerce, digital design, and consumer behavior.


Knowledge Management:

  • Organize and manage research findings, creating a centralized knowledge base for our strategy and design teams.



Required Skills and Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in market research, business analysis, or a similar data-intensive role, ideally within the e-commerce, retail, or agency sectors.


Analytical Rigor:

  • Exceptional ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from diverse sources.


Communication:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present complex information clearly and logically.


Tools Proficiency:

  • Highly proficient in presentation software (Google Slides is a must), Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and research tools (e.g., industry databases, social listening tools).


Mindset:

  • Detail-oriented, naturally curious, self-directed, and capable of managing time effectively in a remote environment.


Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related analytical field is preferred.


This position is a full-time remote opportunity with hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.
