Duty Manager

As a Duty Manager at IHG, you will lead by example, setting high standards in cleanliness and productivity. Your role involves championing a one-team approach to effectively handle guest complaints, queries, and suggestions. Each day at IHG presents new challenges, but your primary responsibilities will include managing guest experiences, team performance, and hotel operations, prioritizing workloads to ensure the delivery of authentic and memorable guest experiences, and developing your team's skills to drive positive results for hotel performance. You will engage in authentic conversations with guests to address issues, queries, or concerns promptly and serve as the first point of contact in critical emergency situations. To excel in this role, we require you to have a minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification, with some college education preferred, along with at least 2 years of experience in front desk or guest service leadership. Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, and knowledge of other languages is advantageous. Basic mathematics skills, excellent communication, problem-solving, reasoning, and motivational abilities are essential. The role may involve long periods of standing at the front desk and occasional lifting of heavy items. Familiarity with hotel property management systems like Opera is beneficial, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.
